Don't ever take someone's word...

Boy, talk about learning a valuable lesson. Not that it really matters much in my individual position, but just a warning to all of you not to trust a breeder/seller.

I just had the lovely experience of finding out that the worthless useless lying cow who sold me Jynx (who has already lied to me about umpteen million things, as most of you know), lied about her breeding as well. WTF is wrong with people?!

We went to Pro Bull Riding on Saturday, and by fluke ended up sitting with friends of my barn owner. They were surprised to see Jynx in the pasture previously because they'd almost bought her and ended up purchasing a sibling instead. When I mentioned that Jynx was sired by Betty's stud, the friend looked at me like I had 3 heads and went "EXCUSE ME?!" Yeah, total load of complete horse punky. She bought Jynx from a farm in Zoda, Manitoba that had about 30 youngsters (sounds like a PMU farm?) as a weanling.

Anyway, on a good note, the friend is putting me in contact with the REAL breeder. Who knows, maybe Jynx IS registerable! The friend doesn't think so, as her foal wasn't able to be registered, but it WOULD be nice to know the TRUTH about her bloodlines.

So for anyone in Canada or Manitoba, don't EVER do business with Betty Main of Main's Training Centre in Duglad/Lorette, Manitoba. She's a conniving scheming horrible person who will tell you anything to get a penny out of you.

For anyone curious, this is what I THOUGHT Jynx's lines were:
Jezebel Jynx Paint

if you can document the fraud, file suit. but this isnt really the place for one sided bashing.

Excuse me? Half the members on this board know this situation well, so if you have nothing contribute, you can just step off and find another post, thanks buddy.

Easy there, easy does it.

equiniphile 02-13-2012 06:26 PM

Joe, it's no different from any other member ranting about being ripped off or lied to.

Wow, that really sucks. Sorry you got lied to about this....I hope she's able to be registered!

MacabreMikolaj 02-13-2012 06:27 PM

Sorry, just a little touchy when someone who knows nothing about the condition Jynx was in when I rescued her decides they want to give their two cents about "bashing". This women starved Jynx, locked her in a dark barn for 6 months, and never had her feet done. And then lied to me up and down to get me to spend to much money on her to help her escape her hell on earth. I don't regret it, but the woman is not a breeder, she's a hoarder of crippled, neglected animals.

Why would you trust someone that you describe this way? Any horse that is not registered I would expect the history of lineage to be unknown and wouldn't count on anything that someone told me.

Really? I've saved a few horses from going to homes where they'd have ended up in a **** situation because I was warned once they showed interest. Couldn't thank them enough once I got the stories from NUMEROUS people about how they did business.
If you screw me over, you're up for fair game. If I ever sold a horse and lied about it, I'd expect someone else to do the same.

MacabreMikolaj 02-13-2012 07:03 PM

I didn't trust her, but I saw no reason to lie about an unregistered horses bloodlines. It's just one more thing she's lied about and it's like WHY? What's the point this time?

Sorry, this woman needs to be outed at this point. She's already got animal control after her (thank god), and I haven't met one person who has a good thing to say about her.

I probably could have worded the post differently, there are obviously people you CAN trust, just an example not to believe anything if they've already lied to you, even if it seems like something completely stupid to lie about.
