When things go from Bad to Worse!
Browsing through YouTube, I found this video and could hardly blink while I watched.
Just the unpredictability of what can go wrong, and how it can get worse. Really wish I knew what the final outcome of the last horse was.
Not sure I would have the guts to play chicken against a horse and think I would win.
The whole situation just escalates and there was no way to know what was going to happen no matter what they tried to do.
Man that is scary! I hope both horse and human were ok, i remember at our local fair a horse got loose out of his stall and too off running, and when it was coming my way all i did was take 2 steps over to the left!!! Looking back now i dont know why i didnt move my butt!!!
Its even scarier that the horse didn't care what it ran into and didn't even attempt to avoid anything or anybody.. you can't help but wonder why it happened. Hope everyone was alright
this made the rounds here a while ago......It is scary tho
Wow - what a mess! When did this happen? That last horse did not look good. hope everyone was ok. Terrible.
If I remember correctly, everyone was fine, just a little shaken up.
I wonder if horses do that, dont' care what they run into in a panic like that, when they wear blinders. Though that last horse had torn his off, in fact , it looked like the entire bridle was hanging down from the harness.
If those people would have just stood still and quiet, the horse would have calmed down quite fast, I assume... But no wonder he went galloping around like a madman, when everybody is shouting and running at him!
They should have a one at a time rule.
The people running around and screaming at the horse with the blinders are complete idiots...he can not see you nor does he care what kind of noises you are making...you are only making things worse.
I think a lot could have been avoided by the simplest thing but goes to show how one thing leads to another...the domino effect.
I feel for the 2nd one who went a muck.....he was minding his own business and all of a sudden BAM!
We get loose horses at show from time to time...either from a lost rider, a run away horse, or one that got loose from the trailer......our rule is alert everyone by yelling loose horse.....then the closest person to the exit shut the gate or block the exit and leave the horse alone, allow it to calm down and then allow the owners to catch the horse.
Yes, unfortunately I see it relatively often at shows. At my very first show at least 3 got loose. One tore free while being tacked up, before the girth could be tightened and as she went roaring around the grounds the saddle slipped and she got her hind foot caught in the stirrup. She immediately went into a spin and then stopped and random spectators were able to grab her, needless to say she ended up being pulled that day.
