We have become very involved in a new non-profit organization, www.equine-experience.org
It is horse assisted emotional therapy for at-risk children. It is a great opportunity to do something for children in your community and make some money to pay the feed bills. Honestly, I don't see the point.
I'm at a rehabilitation center quite often, I just got back form one today. It certainly does require a general breed, but more so a specific horse. We have everything from an appaloosa to a percheron to a welsh pony. At different breeds but suitable for the program.
