a TWH jumper? hahah

I came out to ride my girl the other weekend and they had set up the free jump grid in the arena so we slipped Sable into the grid to see what she had. She did make this pass clearing all jumps, but unfortunately that wasn't caught on camera (of course).

This was Sable's first time jumping anything and I was very proud of her for going for it and not baulking at the jumps, we went no higher than 2 feet, but she was a trooper. I have no intention of using her as a jumper, she is a TWH show horse -but I feel that these kinds of things if you can get a hold of the opportunity are wonderful for desensitizing and improving their versatility...i know for sure we could jump a log if we had to!

I've been wanting to try this with my gelding, just for fun. You never know when jumping might come in handy on the trail..

cool vid, pretty walker. ^^

My Walker mare loves to jump. Some do, and some don't. Some make excellent jumpers. My mare is a great jumpe, but my gelding (her son) desn't much like it, lol.

exactly, jumping competitively is typically hard for a 4 beat horse as the paces are set out wrong for their strides. But to know that if I work on it a bit we'll be able to jump something on the trails instead of baulking last minute is nice to know!

She did enjoy it, very much a show off after each pass lol
