I have Lizzy's walk and jog down, I need something to help me slow down her lope. She has a phenomenal canter for English, but I need her to slow down. Any tips at all? I have a show this Friday and fair in a month..

I've been told that to get a slow lope you just have to lope them A LOT. It works though, I've done it.
Also, maybe collect her and have her lope while she is softening to your hands, kinda like she would in english.

to get her to slow down you have to do a lot of halts. lope 5 or 6 strides and halt.... keep doing things like that. She'll anticipate the stop and slow down. and do small circles..... and collection.... and ...have fun....

Any other way than doing a bunch of stops? Like I'll work on that but I don't want to overdo it because she's only three and I want to make sure she'll have a good future, and she can't with messed up legs..
