What would be a good breed, for a first horse?
I have been riding for about my whole life, and have leased and rode many horse (english and western), i started riding western now, and still getting use to it. I want a want a horse very bad but dont know a good breed for my style and what i would like to do with him. My style of riding includes:
-Trail Riding
Basiclly im beginner in western, but i do know how to care for a horse. Can you help?

If you like western riding, and you want a quiet horse, why not go for a QH? Versitile breed and gentle. I love them. Great western horses if you wanted to get into it more as well.

this mite seem like a dumb question but, whats a qh? i know its a breed but i haven't heard of that one yet. O and size is a problem for my, i need at least 15.3 up to 17.3hh. And i would just love to have a trail horse, maybe some horsemanship, not spooky, or loud, and a sound horse.

yea you will really want to start out with a quarter horse because they were meant for western... lol yea. i even started out with one

I think quarter horses and paints are good beginner western horses. :D

i learned to first ride on quarter horses and mine is so sweet ( qu/paint ) so i think you should get a Quarter Horse...maybe

My first horse was a 16.2hh sorrel overo paint he was a great right and level headed...very sound too..his name was Gage i miss him :cry:
