Possible AQHA Purchase
Please let me know how this guys conformation is and what you think he would be best suited for. I want him for an all around english horse, basic dressage, low level hunters and hacking out.
He's a registered 16hh QH gelding, 4 years old.
First thing i notice is that he's really sickle-hocked in the back legs.
Bum high and has a bit of a "jumper's bump" (the point of his croup is quite prominant)
Front legs look alright and he's got a nice shoulder.
Neck needs muscle.
Not sure how he would perform, though the sicklehocks may affect his jumping.
He's not sickle hocked. If his legs were properly set up with the hocks even with the point of his butt they wouldn't appear as they do in the picture. That is part of the reason is is very important that a horse is square for conformation pictures.
Sorry those are the best pictures I have right now. NdAppy, what do you think of his conformation from what you can see?
