Why do I do this? How do I fix it?
Lately I have been riding like I'm crazing with a half crest release and half automatic I guess you could say. One of my hands is on my ponys neck while the other is welll... just down there.. but it looks like I'm doing an automatic release.. but I'm not. It's really weird and I have no Idea why I am doing it. It has been screwing up my legs too. They are swinging back more and more I do my funky release. And, here's a picture, please tell me what you think is wrong and how I can fix it, thanks in advanced!: (this isn't the worst it has been, this was just the best picture I could find). http://i1188.photobucket.com/albums/...at101006PM.png

It looks like you are jumping ahead and using your hand to support yourself as your lower leg has swung back. Try sitting and waiting for the jump.

i agree, your jumping ahead is causing you to really lose your balance. does your saddle fit you well ?
i would practice on the flat at w/t/c and over poles at w/t/c getting up into two point and moving your hands forward up the crest. this will make it muscle memory for you and easier when you get back to jumps. after you are solid over poles, start with one single cross rail and do it over and over until it feels right.

And maybe when you are practicing grab some mane to help keep your hand there. :)
