unusual Treats for horses I was just wondering what treats people give their horses that arn't carrots, apples etc. I know someone who gives their horse icepops. |
My mom used to feed the horses cheap dog food as a treat. I don't know why, but they always loved it. I have offered it to some of my horses since growing up and everyone of them flat refused it |
Well...I didn't offer it to him but I let Ransom walk freely down the alleyway and he went straight to the cat food... spit it EVERYWHERE! lol He has also tried tater tots ;) Posted via Mobile Device |
Romeo loves iced oatmeal cookies....but those are an extra special treat that he only gets once a blue moon. |
Selena likes most Wonka candies. Particularly Sprees an Sweettarts. If she had it her way she would get laffy taffy too but that is WAY too difficult. Once she stole some outof my grooming bag, got it stuck all up in her teeth and mouth and was pitching a fit. So now I'm more concious about where it is. Rebel likes minty things. He likes int ice cream, peppermints, the works. Everyone else is fairly normal. Ruger would eat anything you put in front of him. |
Spearmint milk or orange juice. Strange pony |
Muss is obsessed with sweet potato carrots and licorice. licorice makes him go a bit loopy so i only give it when worming haha |
Sugarless peppermints. |
My mare likes peppermints and dances around when she has them, than stops and looks for more, than dancing around and repeat. We also put holes through things like turnips, broccoli and large deer carrots and hang them in her run in and in the trees of her paddock to keep her entertained trying to catch them. |
Rummy Gummys :P My mare will run you over to get her lips on some Rum soaked Jolly Rancher gummys  |
