Snow!!

It is March. Spring is just beginning. The weather is warm, with very little rain or chilliness. The days have begun getting longer, and the horse's coats are beginning to shed. But nature decides to be a freak about it and decides to dump a foot and a half of snow in the middle of spring in Central California! Le sigh. Nature, you're a b****... but then we already knew that.

So this is Mudpie's first REAL snow! :D Once it snowed about... eh, half an inch (I have pictures of that too), but this is his first time in real snow!

He wasn't too keen on it, and stood under a tree digging himself a little clear area. xD He later went out and started digging through the snow with his nose, which was probably him saying, "Mom, stop taking pictures and go get me my breakfast!" hee hee! :D So adorable! :)

He's so precious! (:

I love how soggy and pathetic they look in the snow. Like wet puppies. xD

That's a lot of snow for you! Great pics, though!

I know! I can't remember ever having this much snow before – it only snowed once out of this entire winter, too. It stopped snowing for a few hours, and it was beginning to melt and fall off of the trees (and on to my poor guy's back! xD) but it just started snowing again. I hate cold weather, but here's hoping we get snowed in tomorrow – that means no snow and I get to postpone the real world for one more day! ;)

Very cute pictures! I know where your coming from, but I'm not sure how California weather works but if its anything like Colorado weather: one day its almost 70 degrees and the next day we get a foot of snow. Oh the joys of spring!

Central California weather usually doesn't get any snow at all! And normally it's just really hot all the time (except in winter, of course, in which case it's just cold all the time). And there's hardly any precipitation. But lately the weather's been bipolar lately. Like, no joke, on Tuesday it was in the high 70's and all of the sudden it's freezing and snowing – even at lower altitudes!

Here's two more pictures that I just took through the windows. It's snowing really hard now! (the rest of you are chuckling cynically now, I know xD)

He was spooking at something a little bit ago. I thought maybe some deer were walking by in the distance, but then I realized that more likely than not, he was spooking at the snow. xD It was quite humorous! (x

Love my silly boy! :}
