Slipping saddle pad! I ride English, I have a Circuit saddle and I'm using a Roma reversible pad. It always slips back bad when I'm cantering or jumping! Any ideas on how to keep it in place? Is there any other pad you would suggest? |
Do you have picture of your pad? |
Yeah, hold on... |
|
I would be very interested in seeing pictures of your horse tacked up. |
That pad has no keepers to hold it in place, the reason it slips out of place. You could sew some keepers in place that secure it to the saddle. |
Do you know of any good pad that has keepers that could be used without a half pad (one that's thick enough)? |
A wool felt one is pretty thick. Sorry, I am at work & can't tell you the brand offhand, but it's a natural fiber, doesn't need a half pad and you can find them with keepers in dressage sizes. |
Why do you need a thick pad? |
Because I don't want to have to use a half pad with it. |
