Heard of English-made Gold Cup saddles?

I picked up a little close-contact saddle at a yard sale. It looked lonely, and I guess I'm a bit of a collector.
The engraving on the pommel-nail-heads say "Gold Cup England". The metal plate under the jockey-flap says "Made in England exclusively for Tack International".
Has anyone ever heard of this maker? I googled "Gold Cup", and all I found was the Beval Gold Cup, which looks identical, but this isn't a Beval. It looks just like the Crump Prix de Saute and the Crosby Prix de Nations.
After I got it cleaned up and conditioned, the leather took to the conditioner right away, and is already very nice and supple. This isn't cheap leather. The leather looks weird in the picture because I'm letting the balm soak in for a day, so I haven't buffed it out yet. The flash also made the color weird. It's actually a deep walnut color, almost black. Everything on it is in mint condition - not a scuff, scratch, or crack anywhere. I'd love to know what this is. Whatever it is, my daughter is sure to enjoy it (we like our saddles flat and skinny)

I've never heard of them. The saddle looks a lot like a design that did the rounds a few years ago. A lot of them sold at horse shows. They were a reasonable quality English leather CC saddle but all were medium fit. And they were a very attractive price.

Fine if you've got the right shape horse, but they had un-flockable foam panels and I bet a lot of them didn't fit the purchasers' horses.

Of course, I could be completely wrong...

Nope, I don't think you're wrong. It is a medium tree with foam panels. Seems to be a decent quality. Nothing fancy, but nothing cheap about it either. Lucky for me my daughter rides a scrawny old Tennessee Walker that it seems to fit quite well.
Thanks for the background on it!

Hi! I realize your post regarding the Gold Cup saddle is several years old but I have one as well. I have had it since I was young and was showing on a regular basis. Was curious if you ever found out anything more about it, such as what it was worth, etc. Thanks!
