Spraying stalls down??
We are officially finishing up with the remodel of our old barn!!! Yay:lol:
The stalls had to be rebuilt except for the back and the doors, everything else is new lumber. The barn hasn't been used in years and we have gotten building inspectors, new wire ran and the powerline ran to it. So its safe and horse ready except for the bugs, rodents ! AND of course the look of the old wood compared to the new. Also the old wood used needs to be sprayed down for sanitizing purposes. My dad suggested diluted bleach, just spray everything down with it and then set out mouse traps. Will the bleach be safe for horses moving in later on in the week?? Or any other good ideas?? Also I will post some pics of the progress...it's mine but I think it is soooo cute!!!!!:D

I think as long as you have GOOD ventilation you should be fine. Before using the bleach give the stalls a good scrubbing, organic material (manure, dirt, etc) makes it much more difficult for the bleach to do it's job.

I didnt even think to scrub them, maybe with a hard bristle brush:wink: Good thinking and the pressure washer too!!
