Soild paint breeding stock mare or Qh mare

I wanted to know if Katie's sire is a paint black/white and her dam is a Bay QH will Katie consider a QH or a Mix piant/qh? Katie is a soild color she is bay with black legs and mane and tail and she does have a little white at the bottom of her hoof with 2-3 black dots and Kaite is just like her mother, is also a bay with black legs and black mane and tail. I also want to know about daisy duke out of Katie and Luke, she does not have any paint on her and her sire is Luke a qh and will she consider a QH or paint/qh

Both are breeding stock paints.

Because of the quarter horse I say she's a breeding stock. Whenever you have crosses like that they usually turn into breeding stock.

They are breeding stock paints, both of them.

You can mix a paint with a quarter horse and get a paint and it can be registered with the apha if both parents were registered.

I am aware this thread is really old, however can someone please let me know if there is a Worldwide OR Australian Breeding Stock Paint registry or Studbook online?

Breeding stock paint means it's a paint horse without color. Registered with APHA. Not true about breeding paints with QA's & usually getting BS paints, to tell you the truth, I've seen more solid from 2 loud colored parents, more loud babies out of a solid QA.

sommsama09 02-29-2012 11:09 PM

ok thanks :) so you'd just call them "Paint x QH" instead of "BS"?

APHA now calls them Solid Bred, not Breeding Stock, so you have a Solid Bred paint :o)
