to braid or not to braid
sonnys mane is huge and very coarse and wiry-as a Percheron X he has the big crested neck-for 1st show-(game show)-would it look better braided or braided then let out to be wavy? he has one big chunk that falls to the wrong side,

I think if it's really unruly, a braid could be very flattering.

I think a braid is a nice, clean, pretty look. I say go for it. :D

I say braid it. A serious show or not, braided always looks better.

I say go for the braiding if it will braid nicely, braiding gives off the impression that you tried your best to make your horse look nice so go for it!

Braining looks spiffy. Sometimes I braid even if there are no shows even close. BRAID!

lol. i'm guessing by your use of the work 'braiding' that you guys are baised in america?
in england we usually refur to it as plaiting. theres great tips on how to do really smart plaits (a must have for shows i feel!) on a website called horsehero.co.uk theres vedio guides to plaiting, in the vedio library i think :)
