Who is a leader in natural horsemanship
Hi, in my leadership class we are doing a project on leaders of the world. My classmates are choosing people like Napoleon or Ghandi. We are allowed to use leaders who were positive, negative, past, current, teachers, atheletes etc. Being the person I am, I would love to use a leader from the horsemanship or just horse world in general. I just dont really know who. I was thinking someone who started something, like natural horsemanship or something. Any suggestions will be much appreaciated!

I would suggest maybe Tom Dorance, or Ray Hunt, because many of the popular NH trainers now claim to have learned the techniques they use from them.

I agree, Tom and Bill Dorrance and/or Ray Hunt would be my first stops too.

As for a leader in the horse world Xenophon just came to mind, he was a Greek historian who was also the first person to write a book about horsemanship, though his methods were not what we would call natural.
