So I have noticed, we have an "over 40 mature talk" thread... and teen areas, but what about the rest of us?! Maybe I just missed it (I am new here lol) But I was thinking we could have one for us too! I'm 27 (I'll be 28 on the 26th of April). I've been riding since I was 12, I just got a morgan mare named Delci (first horse of my own I have had since I went to college in 2002) and I live in Montana... Who's in?

Me, 23 here from Michigan. I got my first horse when I was 11. Since then, I've owned multiple horses and eventually got down to 3 of ours plus the horse I'm leasing for the summer. I race at local speed shows. I have a 2 year old black lab named George who's the love of my life and I'm currently in college majoring in Nursing.

"The rest of you" are by far the large majority of the forum. But, by all means , create your own niche.

I'm Andi, I'm 22 and live in Australia. I've owned horses but not for a couple of years, and am in the process of finding a pleasure horse now. Does anyone else (in our age group) have to juggle university, being poor (and sometimes working), and horses?
It's strange that the majority of horse people are 20s ish here - because in the real world I don't know any people in their 20s that ride. I know heaps of teenagers, and heaps of 40+, but it seems everyone inbetween "grows out of it" or just doesn't find it a priority anymore.

Well I will join. Almost 24 and just got my first horse in January. I have been riding since I was 8 and it took this long to be able to get a horse. She's a rescue and I am currently training her at the good old age of 18.
Someone asked about juggling school and work and horses, well I am about to find out how that goes. I will be going back to school in the fall finally and work full time and have to go feed my horse everyday. So it will be a fun adventure.
Oh yea and I'm from Wisconsin but moved to Minnesota almost a year ago, so I am still meeting friends and so glad I now have my horse to occupy my time.

Well, I can join, at least for another six months
I'm Sarah, 29, been riding and training horses since I was 14. Started working racehorses when I was 16 (baptism of fire) then moved to eventing and showjumping. I'm an Aussie but been living in Texas since 2009, nice to see a few fellow 20 somethings on here!

I hear ya! I finished my undergrad in biochemistry when I was 23 and am now about to finish my Master's in a month. Worked 30-40 hours a week during Uni and trained horses for other people on the side to pay for everything, I feel your pain. Looking forward to just working full time real soon, hang in there you'll make it!

I'm 26, own 2 horses, 2 dogs, and work full time and I am a wife and mom. It's all a balancing act, but love makes it all possible. My life is how I dreamed it should be, I feel blessed everyday.
Now if only I could win to lotto and stop working! :)

Sarahver- We will let ya stick around! I figured it would end up being folks from about 20-late 30's, before they move up to the 40 somethin lol! :)
