Baby for 2013
I am new here and need some advice. My mare is pregnant for a Feb. 2013 baby. Last year she had a still born colt it was her first baby. I did not know she was pregnant until she started milking up.
I just thought I was doing a good job of putting weight on her as she was a little under weight when I bought her.
She is bred to the same stallion. Beside following my vets instructions, vaccinations, worming and such is there anything more I need to be doing to help insure a live foal?
She is a seven years old flat shod Registered Racking Horse.
My mare is Registered Racking & Spotted Saddle Horse. She is Out of WGC Kodachrome and I can't remember the name of the mare right now will post as soon as I look at her papers.
I bred my mare to a Registered Tennessee Walking horse that is very level headed and calm. He is a palomino.
The baby that was still born last year was his also. He got out but we did not think he got into the pasture as he was caught in the fence no injuries to him. My mare was the only one that got bred.
