I worked at an exotic bird store for a while...the cockatoos...atleast the pinkish colored ones were always the most loving birds in the store. Although they could get very loud when they wanted some lovin.

I have one. His name is Rodan. He's evil. He's dangerous and he scares me. He is all white w/ bright yellow top feathers. We have a combination padlock on his cage because he knows how to open the doors and he can pick key locks and when he gets out he gets into everything and throws all our stuff all over the house and tears things up and one time he bit my nose and made it bleed every where!

He's 24 now. he used to be all sweet and friendly and he would play catch and we would tie a milk carton to the rail on the steps, he'd carry it up the stairs and then throw it down them and he'd cuddle in your lap and pur like a kitten when you petted him and he was so sweet... Then he turned evil! EVIL I SAY!

He loves to watch barney, it's his favorite show and he talks to... he says....

Rodey Rodan
Shut Up
Pretty Bird
Be Quiet
I love you

and stuff like that.....

He was a lot of fun till he turned mean and I got scared of him.....I watched the dog whisperer though, and there was an 18 year old cockatoo that was doing the same things Rodey does, and the dog whisperer said that it was in the terrible twos stage so.....

He's neat and we've really enjoyed him. He gets really loud and we have to shut the door and turn on the TV to the cartoon network to shut him up. But we do enjoy him. He's also messy, he has about a 4 foot radius around his cage that is dusty and full of peanuts and crap that he throws around... but he is neat....
