I have notced something... i have looked through all the "breeds" pages and NOT ONE has written about tekes. Yes, Akhal Tekes one of the oldest breeds in the world!!! this disturbes me greatly as they are not a breed to be forgotten about. Look them up on Wikipedia or something, theyre amazing!!! :!:

I think they're really neat but no, I wouldn't get one, well, I guess it depends, lol.

I agree- I'd never get one, but they look pretty cool. :)

They are not as well known as they should be in this country, but they should be. Just like the Kathawari horses! They are just so unique. I dont think I would buy one, but I respect them because they are a beautiful breed and have some incredible endurance. :)

If given the chance I would consider one. They're interesting that's for sure.

I like them because they are a very special and rare breed. But I wouldn't want to own one because they really aren't my kind of breed :P

It's one of those neat breeds because of the rarety of them but I would not get one. They are to skinny and scrawny for my liking.

I had the privlidge of riding soem when a guy I was dating took me riding. His aunt whom I really liked raised teke's. She had 2 stallions and one was the buckskin that glows, amazing, very amazing color! i would love to have one, but proably way out of my price range! They are very nice to ride and such pretty horses! I love the metalic color! This would be on my someday list!

I think they are beautiful (I'm also a greyhound lover, so maybe that's where it comes from :P ). Rare though, I've only seen one in my life...maybe if I did endurance, I would look into an at or at-cross.

im glad to see people actually know about AT's. I have the privelege of owning one and she is the most amazing horse i have ever ridden, but i guess everyone says that about their horse :lol: . She has come along nicely and she was sooo cheap :o only 1,089.48 USD. (yes i used a converter i live in UAE and she was 4000 dirhams.) :)
