How much do you think this saddle is worth?

I found this saddle for sale $250. It comes with all the straps and the headstall. Is this a crazy deal or what? I'm just curious on how much you think this show saddle is worth, but I don't know the brand unfortunately yet.

Well, it's kind of hard to tell much from the pic, but given the amount of silver on everything just guessing I'd say it's probably a cheap saddle for that price. If it was a really good quality outfit it should run much more than $250 unless the seller is in a big hurry to sell it or there's something wrong with it. Find out the brand if you can and check out what they're selling for on ebay or other places. This is just my own opinion, just going by the pic.

.

Looks like a Saddle from Kanpur India, people pay 150.00 to 200.00 for them used, what is it worth? If it has the normal hollow fiberglass tree most of them have... nothing

How to tell, if it weight less than 30lbs... run away fast.... not that if it weighs 35lbs or more would make it that much better....

If it was a decent Saddle a Tack Shop that has it would have a realistic price on it.

Yeah I see what you guys are saying. The guy I talked to says his sister died and hes just trying to get rid of all her things, he doesn't know much about horses. Is there anywhere I could take it to to get it validated?

Any chance he will send you a pic of it's tag?

The saddle is junk, regardless of the story. If you go ahead and buy it you will regret your decision when it arrives. If anything breaks, like the horn coming loose, or the tree itself, a saddlemaker can't help you. Those making them know it's the pretties that appeal.
