That's REALLY pretty! Are you allowed to use blingy browbands for what you're doing?

The simple bling ones yes, just not show type bling ones.
At this stage i am only doing low level dressage but i want a bridle that is good and will last me!

I love my FSS :) I've got a beautiful one with gold piping on the browband and noseband, crank noseband with no flash attachment and all in one head piece. The leather on them is gorgeous, much better than what you'd get at a saddlery for the same price. Go for it I say!

Did you get a look at their other styles, they have lots with and without the bling?

Really silly question, is a flash and a crank noseband not the same?
I see it has options for both or purely plain cavesson.

Yep I've sifted through all of their styles and the one I purchased suited my needs best. I also purchased a simple wave browband with a single row of small, multi-light coloured diamontes to match it.

A crank noseband has a bad rep because of how some people use it - literally to crank the horse's jaw shut. It has padding under the jaw and is fastened by looping the buckle through a metal D-ring and back to be buckled up. It gives you leverage to then pull the noseband very tight. Unfortunately people use it for this purpose which means other look upon it unfavourably.
I like it though, mine is never 'cranked', in fact I probably fasten my noseband a little TOO loose. But it is very easy to fasten and I think it looks nicer than a plain cavesson, I also like having padding under the jaw.

A flash is the drop nose band attachment on a cavesson/crank noseband.

So you would reccomend this style bridle? With the one row of diamonte's. There are other with multiple rows or white/gold piping.

With a crank noseband, just googled it to see some pictures.
The idea of the padding seems nice.

I never imagined there would be so many options!

Yep this one looks lovely, and I like the plain black on your mare more than the white padding. And definitely just that plain row of diamontes. I splashed out and got a little bit of colour in my wave browband, I'll have to put a photo up. Tossing up whether to use my gold piping, wave browband, or my crysal one, on the nag for a comp on Sunday. Oh the decisions :P

I would appreciate a photo :)
It sounds like you have quiet the colection going! Im notoriously bad at my inability to make decisions.

The crystals come in these colours :O
Clear (set in silver or gold chain), Clear AB, Light Topaz (bright yellow), Light Peach, Silk (very light pink in gold chain), Light Siam(bright scarlet Red),Light Siam/Clear, Siam (Ruby Red), Sapphire(Bright Blue) Blue Zircon (Aqua Green), Light Colorado Topaz (gold), Light Colorado Topaz (gold)/Mocha Brown, Smoked Topaz (Caramel),Smoky Quartz (Brown), Black Diamond (Grey), Jet Black, Sapphire/Mocha Brown, Multi-colour Mix (Jonquil, Light Rose, Light Amethyst, Peridot, Light Sapphire), Light Siam/Clear/Sapphire (RED/WHITE/BLUE)

Thats the next decision LOL.

That looks fabulous! And yeah don't crank the crank. My horse's nose to too big for the crank type noseband. I had to punch a 1/2 hole just to get it on.. blah.

I think clear would work best, but you can always get fun browbands for later or schooling.

Don't know the brand FSS but Kayty seems to like it so it must be pretty nice then!
