h&h round skirt saddle/centerfire riging possible?

I have an h&h round skirt barrel saddle with 7/8 in-skirt rigging, and was wondering if it was possible to set up centerfire rigging on it. I think it's probably not, because of how the back rigging it done, but please let me know your thoughts!

Or is that just a ridiculous question?

It can be done by using the slots for your rear cinch. Out of curiosity, why?

I'm glad you asked why. Maybe you can fill my head with more experienced thoughts :) I have a quarter horse that's so downhill it looks like he never grew out of the unproportional stage of his youth. Am wondering if just a back cinch would help him fine, or if the centerfire type of rigging would hold the saddle better on him.

Neither. You should look into adding breeching. You would need a stout D ring installed at the back of the saddle. You could also use a crupper. If the horse doesn't like a crupper then you will need breeching. Google mule breeching and you see what is sometimes called spider breeching.

A crupper would be a good answer, you probably don't need to go as far as breeching.

How about some pic. of your horse with and without a saddle (no pad)?
