Ford Fiesta! Any one have/had one?

As the title says, have you, or did you have a Ford Fiesta? My grandparents gave me money for a down payment for a car, for my graduation, and the Fiesta looks like a good option for me. Good on gas, it's cute, and it's in my price range. I would like to hear what other people think about it, I looked youtube, and it seems popular, but some of those videos are dealers.

Bumping up for the night, I know it was very popular in the UK. I know we have a lot of members from the UK so I'm sure one will see this eventualy :P

one hit my truck once. Rear ended me.
Not much left of the fiesta, and they had to shoe horn the fat idiot out of it.
He was reaching for a french .
My truck was parked.
Think about beer can meets sledge hammer, and you get the idea.

Wouldn't that happen if any smaller car hit a truck? I mean, lets face it cars are made or soda cans these days lol

Actually they are designed better than the older cars. They are designed so the car smashes but the impact goes around the driver, whereas the old cars, had to rely on their bulk, percentage wise, more fatalities.

I'm personally a Chevy girl. Have you looked at the Malibu or the Cruz? The Cruz gets great gas mileage and it's cute. Not too small, but not a large car. I have a 2010 Malibu and really like it. I get about 26 mpg city and 32 highway. My parents took it out to South Dakota (from Michigan) and it came back getting 34 mpg. :-)

I don't know what your price range is but just food for thought. ;-)

I wouldb't touch a Chevy again with a ten foot poll. every one we've had, had nothing but problems from the start.

Plus thats not good as far as MPG. The Fiesta is getting 30 around town and 40 highway.

The original reason I was looking into the fiesta, was that it was the only car we found for sale under $15,000.

If it was up to me (I should say if I had more money), I would be getting a toyota. We've had good luck with them so far. We have a FJ cruser that is running like new and in has over 160,000 miles on it. And my dad has a tundra, but he just bought it a month ago. lol Have you seen any of the new Red FJs? Wow they are NICE!

That is true, and the fiesta is suposed to be made with Boron (sp?) steal in some parts of it? I'm not sure.

I was looking for a cheap used car, because I was only given $700 + $100 that I already had saved up, but my dad wants me to have a new car, since I'll be moving a few hours away for grooming school. I'll be in down town Tampa or Orlando depending on the school I choose, and thats not really some place you want to have car problems.
