western pleasure lope

Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone has any advice on getting my horse from trotting in the front while loping. I get her slowed down and she trots in the front, but only going the one way. The other way is fine. I stop and turn her then lope seems to help, but if you lope off from a walk or stop she is trotting. Thanks for your help.

You've slowed her down too much.

Push her back up and establish a stronger rhythm. Do a lot of counter cantering, loping boxes, and poles to get her back up off of the front end. Make sure you are supporting her shoulder and not letting her fall onto it with your inside leg.

Thank you I worked on that and it seemed to help. Thanks for the help :)

You might also consider doing some more suppling work with her, and stretching exercises too, as she may be "tight" on the one side, and that is throwing her off.
