Protecting a cremello from the sun

Just that. What would be the best way to protect my new cremello from the sun? I don't have a barn (yet), so he's just on turnout in the pasture. There are trees for him to get under if he needs to, but is there anything else I can do for him? I know about putting sun screen on his little nose, but should I put it anywhere else? And I was thinking of getting a turn out fly sheet for him, but would that help, and would it be a good idea even in 100 degree weather? It gets hot down here.

hiya i use to put sun screen on tammys nose even trickys as tam was cremello and trickys a gray i think what might help would be a uv protective fly shet and mask to also protect the eyes as i dont know if you have noticed about your cremello sun burn happens there to.
and around them goes the skin goes red.
with the sun burn the mouth goes a brown redish colour and starts to peel after a few days i also use sudo cream for nappy rash that sooths the skin as well.

This is my first summer with a cremello, and I've read that cremellos aren't as prone to sunburn as, say, a horse with a big white blaze down his face. Cremellos' skin, while pink, is still lightly pigmented and therefore gets some protection from the sun (whereas the skin under a white blaze is unpigmented)

Even so, I've noticed that my cremello's nose is a little sunburned. He does have a stripe down his face, but I think he's sunburned below where it stops (kinda hard to tell...) He isn't sunburned anywhere else that I've noticed, so hopefully a little sunscreen on the nose will do the trick :-)
