Some of you might know that I am moving Doc on Friday. I was wondering if there is any way for me to make his adustment easier? I have a feeling he is going to be fine but I want to do anything I can :D
the first day i moved chance, I spent a lot of time with her because i was the only fimiliar thing, i groomed her in her stall and talked to her ect.
Kinda walked her around while calming her down, it basicly made her adjustment to the place go quicker.
if you're pasture boarding, be sure to walk him around the pasture to show him the fence line/ show him where the water is, etc.
If you can, bring some of his old grain (if they are switching him to new) and some old hay, too (a bale should do).
What barn are you moving to?
Okay. I was figuring I should bring some of his old grain to make his switch to his new grain easier. I am moving to Moonlight Stables.
He is going to be pasture boarded, but they are putting him in a paddock by himself for a few days to make sure he adjusts himself. I am planning on staying all day friday so I can make sure he is alright cause i'll be the only thing he knows.
awesome! the dallas area has such pretty terrain; i looked at the other topic in stables (i think) -- such a beautiful barn!
ohmy yes! The land is just beautifull. I am very excited. It really is a georgous barn and only $300 a month for pasture board!!!
Where are you located?
