Anyone ever made their own saddle pad?
Nice saddle pads can be expensive and me and my mom decided it would be cheaper to sew our own. Has anyone else ever done this? If so how did it turn out, any tips? I'd love to see pictures too. (:

I'm curious to hear the answer to this. My grandma just bought an industrial machine & serger, quilted english pads are on my list of things to try.

good saddle pads are not that expensive in Idaho, but i dont know about Virginia. big R has them for about $30 i think. you could also try a tack swap or something like that if you dont feel up to making one. however, if you make one i hope it goes great! ( i would google it and see if anyone has ever made one before) :)

Yeah I found something on google.I'm going to make western saddle pads and stitch in my horses names for whose pad it is. (:
You can get some in Virginia for around $30 but it would still be cheaper to make, better quality, and have my horses exact measurements. :D
