How do you get the mane to stand UP?
Not like a thick mohawk, but when it's thin as if someone pulled it, but instead of laying flat, it's kind of wispy and everywhere.
I tried to find a picture on google to show everyone, but I couldn't find one.
Sorry if this seems super random. I knew a girl once who did it to her horse on purpose, and it always looked kind of cool. Should have asked her how she did it when I knew her...
People use egg whites to get mohawks to stand up, so maybe that or some type of mousse or gel?? I dunno.......
I don"t use anything to make it stand up. If it"s short enough, it should stand up on it"s own. Attachment 99320
This horse is rocking the hog job. Has a nice neck to carry it off and make it look fantastic.
OP do you mean like the whispy mussy rocker hair type mane?
The girl I knew pulled the horses mane so it stood up, and that's all I know. I doubt she used product. I'm trying to figure out what would do that... Have short layers on the underside as well as the the top side??? Maybe the particular horse's mane had a tendency to stand up to begin with...
But yes, I'm going for whispy rocker mane :-P
Love that mane on Modoc. It's a super cute look. He's quite handsome.
Buy an appy LOL they are predisposed to the whispy looking mane :P
ETA: Seriously, I think you can undercomb/tease it a bit and get the look. But it would have to be pretty thin to start with I'd imagine.
Some have it and some dont. My arab has a soft, fine mane that naturally folds over, even the short bits. So does my appy. But there are a couple appys on the farm that hve the mohawk type. Not the best pic, but his was 6" and stuck strait up
Hehe, some manes just wont stand up. Maybe if you use some product, you could train it too, but the best way you could get it to stand up is hogging the mane right down to the skin. When it grows out it will end up standing up...
