Petition to End Soring Our organization is committed to ending the horrible abusive practice called soring. Congress enacted the Horse Protection Act in 1970 - however, under funded the enforcement of this law. Today - the practice is still as widespread as it was in 1970. For information about this - we refer you to FOSH.info (friends of sound horses) we have a petition at http://www.thepetitionsite.com/petition/533003783 please help us - this practice has to stop & stop NOW. THank you! |
I know it's a widespread problem (definitely not arguing with you there), but I believe the government may be ahead of you: http://www.thehorse.com/ViewArticle.aspx?ID=12242 The big Walking Horse Celebration is coming up the later part of August. It will be interesting to see what happens there... :? |
signed it this am, unbelievable in this day adn age that these things still go on-i am so dissapointed in humans i could just ****! |
Signed myself too. Don't agree with this type of "Showing" The natural gaited horse is such a beautiful horse without all the exaggerated enhancements to gait into a moving deformed monster. If you ever watch the "big lick" horses. They looks so unnatural, unbalanced, and weak in the hindends. It's almost like the hip displacia in dogs the way that they move. Very sad. |
