This is what I experienced this weekend. Please no hating on the events for doing this in the mud, please take that to a different thread and take it out there. I don't have the patience to deal with you. ^^ For the record, no horse fell down in this. Except for one bull! Lol! The guy came out just fine.

Looks just as bad as the MN highschool finals this weekend. There was standign water everywhere.

I always hated cleaning my tack after riding in mud. I'm also very anal about how clean my tack is :lol:.

I can sometimes get iffy about riding in mud. Sometimes I don't mind it, others, sometimes makes me want to not run.
I guess that's only because I've had a horse put down because of the mud. It was a non-riding injury, but it still makes me worry a little bit every time. I guess that's I never had the best times when riding in mud.

Most women of the 1800's learned to ride out of necessity from helping on the ranch and practicing the skills of the range. From an early age, women could stay in the saddle, break a bronc and rope a steer. In the late 1800's, the younger horsewomen began competing against males in a yearly gathering of herds -which progressed into participating in rodeos. The first rodeos began in the mid-1800 when thousands of cattle and horses were driven to town for the yearly round-up. The cowboys were eager for relaxation and would compete in tests of skills like roping, breaking horses, branding cattle and racing.
