Searching for the perfect saddle pad
So, I was watching a recorded Clinton show on RFDTV and during one of the commercials, he advertised a saddle pad that had relief areas around the shoulder, see site... http://downunderhorsemanship.com/cat...roducts_id=349 ....called pressure relief system.
This sounds perfect for my horse and saddle.
Since putting on some extra muscle, my saddle will only fit with a cheaper, thinner pad and even that is getting questionable. The only tight area for him is directly over the shoulder. I am looking for a cheaper alternative that will do a similar job. Any suggestions?
No offense, but that place is always very overpriced. I'd suggest to look in "regular" internet stores (not those "famous trainer" ones) - there is a good possibility you can find something twice cheaper.
I agree with Kitten...it's WAY overpriced. Over $200 for a western saddle pad is ridiculous! It's not worth it at all. The only reason they can sell it for that much is because Clinton Anderson's name is on it and he uses it. It's the same thing with the Parelli items...who is going to buy a $200 bareback pad when you can get the same type that works just as good for $62?
Also, my suggestion would be just sell the saddle you have now and get one that is bigger that will fit your horse once he gets more muscling. Is it worth possibly injuring your horses back?
I tried looking for something close to that, but couldn't find anything...I will continue to look though. But personally I wouldn't pay over $200 for a saddle pad.
I still stick with just selling the saddle and replacing it with one that actually will fit him. He'll respond better, and he'll be happier
