Work we have done with Charlie
Yesterday we wanted to see how Charlie would respond to being saddled. We didnt get on him and we didnt chinch it up tight we just wanted to see how well he would do with it on while being walked around. He did really good and didnt freak out at all in fact he didnt even care. We only had it on for maybe 15 minutes.
I think he is going to be a great riding horse when hes ready in a few years.
Nice expression on that horse. He looks open; curious. He's not bothered by people and that reflects well on the handler. He does look a little confined/cramped for space being in so close to you. It looks like he's trying to not bump into you but all a person would have to do would be give him enough room to stretch his body out and move his head around comfortably and I bet he'd look even better. I'll accomplish that with my horses by just standing behind their shoulder and draping my arm over their back if I want to be in close while we're standing there. That way he'll learn to stand there with me and get comfortable and stand still, which is what I'd want when I go to mount someday.
He's very cute and looks like he's doing very well with the saddle and is comfortable. Good luck on the rest of your training!
