I'm really only going to say what i think about picture #2.
If you look at picture #1 you can see that, although you're looking to your next fence, you haven't telegraphed your next move too loudly to your horse. You're simply hinting that there's going to be a quick turn, and you're going to need him to land on the correct lead for you. I can appreciate that.
However, in picture #2, you're riding his head and leaning in to your anticipation. Gotta' be careful with that in your roll backs. The communication doesn't need to be that loud between you and your horse, especially in mid air of the jump.

Post script: How do you get his mane to plate that way?! Do you keep it banded??? Do you have it professionally done? I'm on a very serious quest to get my horses mane to look like that!

Beautiful pictures. Beautiful horse. Beautiful riding. You guys are champions.

I got ahead of myself and was a little unbalanced in the roll back to the combo, I didn't give him the best line too it but we made it work. I will be working ten times harder though. I had a great time. He was happy with made me really happy. I just cut his mane the night before I don't really do anything too it, I brush it and use conditioner but I don't braid or anything like that just a plain pair of scissors. Thank you a lot.
