Tell me what you think about these horses? Pros and cons? Confirmation crit.ANYTHING!

I'm looking for a barrel horse! I'm just learning, and WILL be looking into a serious trainer to work with me. I was really looking for a gelding, but I DO like the mares I put on here.

I just want opinions on which horse you would choose if you were looking to be in High School Rodeo?

#1: http://www.brokenarrowbarrelhorses.com/horses-for-sale/20110826131657.html

I like watching him run, although I'm not a huge fan of the going in with a large pocket and coming out scraping by. Although it seems to work for him.

#2: http://www.brokenarrowbarrelhorses.com/horses-for-sale/20101101200746.html

I like him a LOT.

#3: http://www.brokenarrowbarrelhorses.com/horses-for-sale/20110827085549.html

Pretty good, but accck sorrel!! :( lol

#4: http://www.brokenarrowbarrelhorses.com/horses-for-sale/20120511111704.html

He's butt high, and overall I'm not a huuge fan of him confirmation but he still seems to run well!

#5: http://www.horseclicks.com/out_of_own_son_of_jody_o_toole_reduced_/advert/38830

I see alot of potential, but do you really think he's with 3,000 as is?

#6: http://www.equinenow.com/horse-ad-580299

I like her build, but that's all I can judge from ATM.

#7: http://www.horseclicks.com/gorgeous_big_dapple_grey_gelding_barrel_prospect/advert/125310

I really like him a lot!

#8: http://www.horseclicks.com/this_is_tex_he_is_a_great_bay_gelding/advert/38577

I looovee how he's like a tank, but I'm unsure how he would do on barrels.

#9: http://www.horseclicks.com/colonel_freckles_and_short_oak_grandaughter/advert/29478

There's something I really like about this girl, despite the longer back.

OKAY! Ready for everyone else's opinions now! :D

What's your price range? That will matter a lot as I see you have horses priced from 1500 to 35,000!

1. He looks pretty but can't see his build
2. He looks like he is scrappy if that makes sense I don't like his build/ look but the pics aren't Confo pics
3. He looks ok but not perfect enough for me to shell out 35,000 for
4. don't like his build
5. I like but need better pix
6. Is pretty but not much training on barrels
7. Don't like his build he just does t look like a runner to me
8. Love him! Lol but idk how fast he is. He is a chunky cute one though!
9. Haven't looked at yet! Lol

Are you looking for a finished horse that you can just focus on teaching yourself how to barrel race, rather than him, since you said you're just starting out, or one that will need training and time along with your own "training?"

It's really hard to critique when I don't know what exactly your looking for (finished vs not, price range, age, etc.) but I really like the#5 and #8 gelding and think they could be great barrel horses, would stay away from #7 because of his conformation, 1&2 are great I'm sure but very expensive, I don't like 3's conformation plus he's grade and $35,000!!! Like I said I don't know if an unfinished or even unstarted barrel horse is what you're looking for or would even be a good fit since you're just starting but I'd say 8 is my favorite!

I like the second horse the best.. I know the people who started and trained him, they are very good people and have awesome horses. I like him a lot..

There is NO way on God's green earth I'd pay $35,000 for the third horse..Just no. I don't like his running style, he's a grade.. just no.

I like the fifth horse, I would call and ask for better pictures, a video, and just general information about him.

I'd stay away from the sixth horse, if she isn't even started on barrels and she's already rated as a "7" she's probably going to be extremely hot, even trained slowly, and will more than likely blow up as a barrel horse before she even gets good at it.

I like the grey, he's okay.. I'd call and ask for more information and conformation pictures..He could use some toning and groceries.

I like the eighth horse, not a fan of the fact he's a grade but I like his stocky build. I would want better pictures, especially conformation pictures. I like that he's versatile and already has other jobs besides barrels.

My second favorite is the last mare..love her..Her back is longer but I love that she's versatile and isn't JUST a barrel horse, love the bloodlines.. I'd call and ask for more information and maybe videos? Really like her though..Just that back..

I did go back and look at 9. There's something I like about her as well. I would check her out as well

Ohh just saw you were a beginner as well.. Don't look for prospects or anything you'll have to put through training.. You are MUCH better off finding a seasoned horse that knows it's job and can teach you the ropes. I don't want to discourage you but I wouldn't be looking at 1D horses either..You want to start out with something dependable and consistent. Something you won't have to really RIDE as much as a 1D horse. Look for a 3D/4D horse to start you out with and then when you get comfortable with that horse you can more up to a faster and more competitive horse and level.. Someone new to the game just cannot by any means expect to jump on a 1D horse and start taking names. It takes years to work your way up to that level.

Thank you guys! Oh I had COMPLETLEY missed the price tag on that sorrel! Pheeew! My price it maybe.4000. I plan on hopfully sending the horse I get (if unfinished) to be finished. And I'll be working with a trainer.

So #8 & #9? I like them both the most (aside from the grey gelding) I was also wondering about the speed of #8 because he sure is big! Lol

And I also understand that for sure :) believe me! I looked around Craigslist and saw some 3D horses but I just didn't like some of them. Either over priced, or too far away!
