Please help with premature lamb.
We had a lamb born this morning to a first time mother. He is a large lamb and fully developed, but premature. He is almost hairless and is too weak to stand. He can get onto his knees when he wants milk but his legs seem too weak to stand. We milked the ewe and have fed him twice today, about 75-150 ml each time. He suckled eagerly. He has passed a couple of good-sized poops and peed a few times too. Has anyone ever had to care for a premature lamb? I really want this little guy to pull through, any advice is appreciated! Thanks so much.

You need to get him a Thiamine shot! Those are so important to goats and sheep alike when a baby is having any issues at all. Start calling vets to find it. Also Vitamin A & D and B 12 may also be helpful but ask your vet. Good luck!
