Watching movies twice
Okay, does anyone watch movies twice? Kids these days watch movies several times. I don't get that. My kids will watch a movie at the movie theater w one person, then watch the same move other friends. It seems so odd - I don't think I could stand it! I have never watch a movie twice w the exception of animated disney movies - which are like "art in motion", really...and the Wizard of Oz, thats it. Is it just I that feels this way about watching a movie twice?
Oh goodness, I watch movies over and over again! I think I've watched Seabiscuit and Hidalgo a good 15 times. It's not that I absolutely love the movies, it's that I'm too cheap to buy more! xD
That is what I don't understand, these kids are paying to see these movies! My husband buys movies...which drives me crazy. Like you, I am to cheap to buy a movie, I will just wait till they are available on netflix, or be happy never to see them!
I watch movies a few times in a row but only with years separating the re-watch attempts!
I can't stand watching a movie more than once because then I just remember everything and it isn't that exciting.
I have watched "To Kill a Mockingbird" like 6 times? I love "Lost in Translation" and watch it multiple times. especailly when I am melancholy and miss Japan. And, "The Horsewhisperer?" when I need a dose of romance. And "Cold Mountain" for just plain old good acting and great cinematoghraphy.
and yes, animated movies for the gorgeous painting in motion.
Saw Avatar twice in the theater.
Haha yep! Tried to watch Avatar. once... and returned it to the shop half way throug the movei..
i know, it was corny and cliche, but the visuals were gorgeous!
Well, I guess it isn't just kids that watch a movie more than once. I thought it was just a thing kids did these day. :)
I don't know, if I watched a movie 10 years ago...once was enough, I remember it...not interested in watching it again. I have not seen most of the movies mentioned above...except Avatar and Sea biscuit. I liked the da vince code, that was worth watching.
The only movie I have ever ordered for my own personal viewing pleasure was War Horse - and it was a dud, imo. So, I clearly can't "pick 'em".
I sometimes go back to the theater and watch movies twice because I'm good at missing things. Haha, and I think that I've watched almost every horse, superhero or Harry Potter movie that I've been able to get my hands on a least 3 times. I find most of the imagery/ story lines/ characters inspirational for art and writing :)
Aha! There's the explanation, Vidala, I am niether an artist nor a writer!
