about 2 or so years ago she tried jumping through a barbed wire fence when a big TWH was chasing her. i cant find pictures from when it was all wounded
here you can see it all red and cut up, and if you look at her rear, left leg, there is red on it as well. she had a severe rope burn, never fear though! all the red isn't blood! lol its scarlet oil

(The following photos are taken over a month's span)
Char's leg when we first found the wound (the day we also found out she was in foal AND in labor)

We started cleaning it and realized how much bigger it was

While cleaning we found a pocket of maggots!

She's developed some proud flesh, which we are now treating.

This is a yearling filly about 2 weeks after she injured her leg by rolling in a loose shed and getting her back leg caught between the gate and the slamming post.
There was about 1/2" between the post and the gate. Luckily she was only there for a couple of minutes max and remained still whilst I extricated her.

It did heal well but took over a year and did require skin grafts. She also had the splint bone removed. The white is her cannon bone.

Molly was attacked by the miniature the other day, so I'm dealing with a few minor scrapes and a wound on her leg. Of course, he waited an hour after the vet left from doing health exams to do it :?.

When I found it Tuesday:

I've been cold hosing it twice a day to keep the swelling down, rinsing it daily, and wrapping it with Fura-Zone.
