Trailering Mare/Foal?

I know, another trailering thread. I am rescuing a mare and 1 month old foal on Thursday. I have a three horse slant load trailer. Should I just put the mother in the front stall and let the foal have the other two to roam??

The few times I hauled a mare and foal I tied the mare and left the baby loose. I have a stock trailer. At one month old, I wouldn't separate them.

Tie open or remove the partitions. Tie the mare in the front stall and just let the foal follow im loose. Do not separate them. It will cause undue stress and they both could get hurt trying to get to the other one.

Hi. Can anyone tell me if there is a suv that can safely pull a horse trailer. I was wondering if an escalade would work

Depends on the trailer. Can it tow one? Yes. Safely? Not necessarily. Only if it is under its towing capacity. You'll need a brake controller for the trailer brakes. Having enough power isn't the issue. Stopping and stopping safely is.
