Cleaning a horses teeth inbetween dentist visits
Anybody know how to clean a horses teeth? My seven year old Appy mares teeth become really dirty. They were cleaned little over two months ago by the equine deintist. She literally cleaned them like a human dentist would clean your teeth. The teeth almost becomes coated in green goo and it stinks to high heaven. So now I need to find a way to clean inbetween dentist vists.

If it smells that bad, that soon, she might have some other problem going on. I would call the vet for advice.

I agree with the above poster. Horses breath should not reek, it should smell grassy... I'd suggest getting a vet out and checking for something else going on.
