Cool Olympic stuff One of my extended family members was honored today in England with being an Olympic torch bearer. He has always been very active in his community, and puts in more volunteer hours than many people work. There were crowds of people who come out to see the torch pass, a local kids band was playing - and really cool - each torch bearer gets to keep their torch. His health hasn't been the best so he was permitted to walk rather than run, and they only get about 1/4 of a mile each, as they try to give as many people as possible the opportunity to do it. Anyway, here are some pics. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...Davidtorch.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...avidtorch3.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...avidtorch2.jpg and my beautiful Momma. :) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...dMiketorch.jpg |
