Retired police horse = Cushings Hello! I just acquired my second police horse, and "Binx" has full blown Cushings. Currently on pergolide, (1 1/2 pills x daily). When he came Saturday, he had not been clipped, we went out to get huge shears to get about 2 inches of hair off. Now this is under control, (the whole body clipped) we spoke to his vet, (Binx) and he suggested a muzzle, and supplementing with "Platinum Preformance" - What do you feed your Cushings horse? (low starch grain that is NSC below 12) What supplements do you feed? Do you feed your hay dry or wet? Is your horse IR too? Thanks for any suggestions, help, or advice! Andi |
