different angles on front hooves

so, my farrier (who is apparently very good based on recommendations from people who are, by all appearances, qualified enough to know..and by the fact that he was the farrier for an Olympic team) says my horse's two front hooves are supposed to be at different angles. i know this guy knows a lot more about horses than i'll ever know, but i have also learned enough to know that with horses (and, in life in general), it never hurts to gather as much information as possible. thoughts?

Depends on the horse. A lot of people on here can tell you more than I can, but just like people, horses are not perfectly symmetrical. It really depends on the conformation of each limb and how he carries himself.

I have one horse whose angles are the same and one whose angles differ by 5 degrees. That's what normal is for each of them.

Do you mean different angles than the rear hooves, or the two front feet have different angles?

Yes, hind feet have a steeper angle than the fronts.

Some horse's have slightly different front feet which any good farrier can work with .

Most horses have slightly different angles, usually not differing more than 5 degrees. Any more than that and I would say its a case of Hi-Low Syndrome or possible Club Foot. Or just really bad trim job =/
