Looking at something completely different....
So, I tried the mare out.
She was horrid.
OH. and I found out she rears. Thats great rofl.
They breed, and had a few others. I saw a chestnut under saddle. I didn't get on it. It was a nutter!
They said 'oh, we have a 3yo stallion with the same lines as the mare' I thought heck what harm can it do?
I need to speak to my trainer tomorrow.
And get another vet check (he had one about a month ago without anything found but I want another to be sure cus my bad luck has been.. bad)
They said they can castrate him prior to him coming to me, however I may leave him whole for a bit. Its summer, and the flies are horrific. Not only that, but he needs to ... broaden out. Maybe the hormones will help, but I have no clue LOL. I need to speak to my trainer, as she breeds herself and will advise me on the best course of action.
Apologies for the video. My mother, as much as I love her, is rubbish at video-ing, almost as much as my dad.
He's the third horse down

And me briefly:
Mmm, i dont know much about dressage unfortunately.
But i am not fond of that horse. I dont like the general look of him. He does have lofty movement but still...
(Out of curiousity, what happened to the chestnut gelding you looked at approximately a month ago? There was a video of you riding him. I really liked him...)

Wow he's a nice little mover for 3. Not as springy as the mare but in time he will improve.
A stallion though.. phew that's going to be a lot of fun :D
Definitely talk with you trainer.
That gelding failed his vet check unfortunately :(
I am a particularly nervous rider.
Trust me when I say I would not have got on him if I didn't feel safe enough, let alone t/c him ;D
His paces, naturally, need work. He's a 3 yo with the very basics, but something I have a good outline to work with. His paces are nice, and I agree sky, with work and time his paces will impove ten fold.
The mare was nice, but what I noticed in the video was true to form- she had learnt to dictate the speed and any attempt to bring her back was futile unless you used your voice, she got herself in to a "mode" where she got faster and wouldn't back down from it.
Stallions aren't so much an issue, we have 4 at our yard anywho ;)
My trainer gave me a number a few weeks back to call with three horses, two of which where older stallions. She went mad because I said no as they still had their.. manly parts ROFL. So long as the horse is well mannered and respects boundries then she doesn't mind whether its stallion, gelding, mare, donkey,mule...dog LOL
Maybe if they're still around to go and try them out? It sounds like your trainer is definitely being helpful
And you're free to call me Maggie lol. Or Sky.
Oh no LOL
Are we getting confused my dear :P
I was answering Cla ref the failed vet check with Quidam, the one from a few weeks ago... this fella had a vet check done as standard with all her horses prior to sale and nothing was found, but I would still like a different vet, not a friend vet, look at him ;D
My trainer is the bomb :P
I want to speak to her, and go from there!
OKAY so he's still in the running.. good! I like him, he seems pretty level headed
Awh girl, I'm about to go to bed!
He's level headed alright.. I'm too much of a freakout and I would rather NOT get on a horse than get on one hahahahaha
Sleep well!!! Hopefully when you wakeup next you get good news on him!
I hope so too ;D He is reserved for me, I made sure of that... eeee excitement! Looks like I've managed to pick up a viral infection though.. great.. got a body full of rashes.. if I didnt know better id say it was chicken pox urgh!
