- - Beach!!

I'm going to the beach next week (been waiting all summer!!) and I'm so exicted!! Who else is going or has been to the beach this summer?
I think the only thing I'm not looking forward to is the weather. I checked the forcast and there's T-storms all week :( But it is normally only a 40% chance of rain or somewhere around there. Whether it rains or not, I'm taking a nice long walk on the beach.
I was hoping on gettting a really good tan...but I most likely will still get a good one even with the scattered T-storms. I got one from just being out on the boat for a few hours!
So, who else is visiting/has visited the beach this summer? Please feel free to share your beach experiences/stories/whatnot. I'd love to hear them!

I'm moving to the beach this August... ;) Pretty excited (but nervous at the same time!)

I would LOVE to move to the beach, but I think I would get tired (of the beach). I also couldn't leave the barn I ride at. I love it too much :)
But it will be nice, even wiht the rainy weather, getting out of this hot Louisiana weather. Its supposed to be in the upper 80s-lower 90s where we are going.

That's awesome! Where are you going? I'm moving down to St. Augustine, Florida as a transfer student. I'll be a junior at Flagler College living off campus. Luckily, I'll be able to bring my horse down this winter. (:

We're going to Cape San Blas. I've been helping wiith horsey summer camps all summer and this will be a nice relaxing break. I did have the week of the 4th of July off; the people who ran the camp were taking a week off. I can't blame them :)
I don't own a horse, but if I did, I would LOVE to take them on the beach. Especially riding bareback on the beach. They did have some horse rides on the beach that are near Cape San Blas, but they are the kind that you just sit and hang on. You end up being a passenger instead of a rider. As an advanced rider (getting into the stage of being advanced), I find it slightly irksome to be treated like a beginner. Even though they don't know my riding level, still...:)

That's awesome. Yeah, I know what you mean. I've been riding since I was five and I love when people are like 'do this, do that, wait! don't forget that'... I am aware! I've been doing this for fifteen years. Hahaha.

Exactly. Just the way they treat you, like you don't know anything about horses. Then again, they don't know previous horsey experiences and they are just trying to keep everyone safe. Its like they treat us as if we don't know how to ride. They don't really let you do anything, just hang on. I'd rather be on a ride where the horse respects me and is listening to me instead of follow the leader.
I've been riding for 5 years, since I was like 7. I hate how they always keep a constant eye on you, they probably don't think you can do things by yourself with the horses XD I would looove to tell them "I've been riding for 5 years. I know what I'm doing!"

I'm a Western rider and we flex before moving out where I ride, so I think it wold be pretty weird just getting on and going.
