cinch preferance

I would like to know what some of you choose in a cinch, neoprene versus felt and your reasons why. Thanks guys, look forward to your opinions!

I have a neoprene because that's just what I happened to buy.

neoprene professional choice, easy cinch up system, bought it because it looks smart & has the easy cinch up system, lol.

I use neoprene because I've found on our wide body mares you can get a good grip/no slip with less tightening and no chaffing.

Thanks guys! I have both. I have a weaver airflex smart cinch that I like very much and it grips a big wide appy.a little better than felt.

Classic Equine-neoprene, looking at Mohair. Have not had any issues with my Classics but I want to try out a Mohair, never used my Classics on a ten day ride so I fear they might create too much heat.

I'm a mohair person. I have a few felts, fleece, leather too but prefer the mohair. I don't use neoprene, I've seen too many that get galled if worked hard in neoprene.

Don't use neoprene anymore because of this ^^^^ exact reason. I've now switched to Mohair.

I have a neoprene. The only thing I don't like is how sweaty it makes the horse! I'm getting a mohair next. I found a place that will make a royal blue/teal one for me for only about $60!
