Do they do AI.....for miniatures? XD
I've just got this picture in my head of somebody having to lay on the ground to collect his..yeah. :rofl:

Don't know, but I imagine if they do they use a phantom, the same as for a regular sized horse. Nobody actually stands around trying to catch the stally's spooge in a cup. :rofl:

Yes they do, do it. I don't think it's as common as it is in bigger horses though. It's fairly difficult and pricy. One downside too is that supposedly its not worth keeping a collection of semen on hand. Most miniature registries won't allow you to register a foal if the semen used is from a deceased or gelded stud. Which I think is silly.

You could always train the stud to ground collect if you don't use a phantom.

Not the point, SR. It was just an example of collecting from a mini stallion, that's all. Didn't mean to strike a nerve ..

I think they do make it for mini, but if not I'd hate to ask what else to use other than a larger one! Poor mini.
