What practical horse product do you wish someone would come up with?
I'm a horsey mum who's also a new product developer/inventor.
My teenage daughters want me to invent a new product in the horse realm so that we can justify going to even more horse events and do marketing...clever girls!
I would love to hear about products that horse owners wish were available. i.e. what problems do you want solved? Sorry, I can't solve barn issues or horse behaviour problems :-)
All of us horse people have lots of times when we say.." I wish someone would come up with..."
This is your chance to fill in that blank!
Thanks for taking the time to think about this.

Fly spray that actually works?

A good way to store bulk shavings without constructing a huge building to keep them dry and not blowing away, and maybe make getting them to stalls easier??
One lady I know keeps them in a silo and it is absolute heck getting them out - it sucks even more than hauling them (and what sucks even, even more is getting them up there.! Everyone else just uses a tarp and three sided enclosure - but on windy days a lot blows away and they still get wet in the rain. Bags are also too expensive for every day use.

for human Nose muffs, so that in the winter I have protection.
A girth that fits every horse.
A bridle that is always shiny/clean.
Supplements that my picky eater will eat... PAST the first time
Trailers that horses can't wait to get into.
An automatic horse whistle that goes off every time my horse is in the pasture.
Feed/grain that contains all supplements/vitamins that are necessary
I'll come up with a few more later ;)
And though these would make my day if they were real, nothing is better that going to the barn with a runny nose in the winter having to catch 18 horses to put in their stalls and then having to add supplements to almost every horse and then not half eating. I love it.

Welcome to the forum, Daisy!

Hmmm...all for my horse (and some of them a bit futuristic/unlikely!):

- a latch that my horse can't undo (maybe one where I have to say "open sesame" to unlatch it because, smart as he is, I'm not sure he can say that)
- testosterone suppressant (for both of us lol)
- a flying carrot to get him to run round his paddock
- stable bedding that isn't so darn expensive! Which would probably be solved by anebel's idea because then I could buy in bulk
- near-silent clippers

And ditto on the flyspray - I never get more than half way through a training session without the flies returning :/

And believe me, if you and your daughter come up with any of these, I'll sing your praises forever!
