To UltraGuard or not......
After doing my research and talking to a representative veterinarian, they suggested I put him on Ultium. Well, today was the first day. Colicked. (Spelling is off). I think maybe it was too much at one time perhaps? It was just a 1/4 of a pound. We bought a purina feed scoop with measurements. And two pounds of senior. Now here's the kicker. ever since we got him and we never knew of this issue he colicked every time we switched grain! It was either too much sugar or wasn't gaining weight. I've had him do this four times in about three years. Nothing could satisfy him. He was starved and we increased feed and hay. Still not much difference. Should I try and get him on an ultraguard? He only colicks when his diet is changed just to the littlest and doesn't gain weight. He's on a rotated worming schedule and has his shots each year. I've been thinking heavily about getting a scope done just to make sure its not his stomach and get his teeth looked at.........
