Please tell me what you think!!
So my mom is interested in this horse. The guy says he bought the horse from a western pleasure trainer, and my mom wants a western pleasure horse, but she lives too far out to just go and take a look at him. Here's the link to the CL ad, and there are two youtube video there. Please be harsh, because your critique is very important. She told the guy she'd be coming out tomorrow if she comes out at all. Thanks! Free Trained Horse

He's N/H, don't even go see him. That's the fist thing I seen and I closed the ad.
I'll never ever ever buy or breed to a N/H horse.

Pass. He's free for a reason. For one thing, he carries HYPP. Who knows when he'll have an episode? Two, he looks to have an attitude, especially at the canter. They're also riding him in a bit with some pretty harsh shanks, so who knows how messed up his mouth is? I wouldn't waste my time going to look at him.

Just because they slapped some Western tack on him doesn't make him WP trained. I see very little actual training on that horse. Oh sure, he can go around in a circle, on the wrong lead the whole time. :?
Plus, as has been stated he's N/H. No way, no how would I take on a horse knowing that. At least the owner is being honest about it.

The horse is in pain, somewhere in his body. His whole attitude shreiks that he's been stiff and in pain for a long time. He is tighter than a board and would need a skilled rider to change any of that, even if his genetics werent' against him from the get go.

Thanks everyone! My mom didn't think he looked WP trained either, and there was something about him that I found a little off. She was on the fence about it, and was asking my opinion so I thought I'd ask y'all-- I've never known anyone here to be anything other than straight forward!!
My horse is HYPP N/N, and I think her mom was HYPP N/H, and even though the owner said he'd had a minor episode six or so years ago, it made mom a little nervous. Just wanted to get a few opinions, and since you guys gave me a unanimous "NO!" then that's what I'll tell her. I owe her a horse anyway, so I'm still on the look out for a nice WP horse. Thanks again!! Love you guys.
